Could this be a miltonia? Female
Default Could this be a miltonia?

Hi. I am very new to orchids and just bought this beauty. It didn't come with a tag, but it seems to be a Miltonia. Could anyone confirm and/or give a bit more detail? Many thanks! Cindy

Looks to me like a Miltoniopsis.

These are closely related to Miltonia and very often are labled as Miltonia. Miltoniopsis comes from a slightly different area and has different temperature requirements. The shape of the flowers is a bit different to a Miltonia, generally Miltoniopsis are thought to look like Pansies.

Take a look at our Miltonia care sheet which deals with both of them.

By the way... it's a really really pretty one!
