Unknown plant growing rampantly

Hi all,

Recently I have had a great deal of problems with this particular plant, and would very much like to know what it is. Every answer I've gotten so far has been proven wrong, and I really just want to know what I'm dealing with. Now when I say problems, I don't mean that the plant isn't doing well. On the contrary, the plant is far too successful.

Pictures are shown below. This doesn't show you the full plant, just one of the offshoots. The leaf texture and the way it browned seemed identical to Spathoglottis, though the base structure is not right. The flowers are very small and yellow, but the plant exceeds 2 meters in height. Someone suggested that it was a Carludovica, but it has no division to the leaves (and Carludovica is meant to have 2-5 divisions). Cast Iron plant was also thrown around, but this plant is near Aspidistra and it is obviously different.

Even if it isn't an orchid (which I doubt at this point), hopefully it's at least something that somebody has come across in the course of their adventures.

It kind of looks like a Phaius of some sort. Sorry I am not very helpful.

my guess by the pic and description of rapid growth is phaius or perhaps phaiocalanthe ? I recently got a phcal kryptonite and when looking up care info etc read a lot about how quickly they turn into monster plants. I am not sure if your description of blooms negate that possibiity

So every bit of information I've found leads me to believe it's a Phaiocalanthe... just one slight problem. I've never seen this plant bloom, and it hasn't bloomed in over a year. I don't know that it wouldn't have amazingly showy flowers in ideal conditions.

A little ways away, we have smaller versions of the same plant. They're only 1', 1.5' max. They are also expressing buds, and the buds are just under the size of a small lemon. I'll try to get some pictures to show you guys.

Do you have any idea what kind? The only thing that it could be seems to be Carludovica, which it can't be since the leaves of that plant are bifurcated at least. These leaves aren't. I'll also be sure to take pictures of the plants with buds, because seeing that pretty much killed any notion of it being a palm.
