Default Any idea what this is?

I have no idea what genus this orchid is, but I know it grows fairly well here at 5000ft in the New Guinea Highlands. Thanks for any help!

The style of growth looks to me like some type of Coelogyne.

This looks kind of like Eria floribunda, but I'm no expert on that group of plants. Do you have a picture of the plant habit?

Dear Phil,

I think you will find this is a Bulbophyllum. It should not be that difficult to identify given the dramatic coloration. It is not a Coelogyne or Eria based on the position of the inflorescence.

Hope that helps, Eric

OK - have now uploaded a picture of the whole plant. It doesn't look similar to other Eria or Coelogyne I have - so I guess Bulbophyllum is more likely. Any more clues? I know Bulbophyllum is a huge genus.

Thanks,
Phil
