I bought this at IKEA in May and all I know is that it is a Phalaenopsis. I wanted to know if anyone could tell me the species??

I think it's actually a Phal hybrid but there are so many similar ones I can't ID.

its a hybrid phal...thats about all you will ever know for sure....its beautiful tho!!! enjoy!!

I agree that it will be an unidentifiable hybrid, but that's not a problem, they are still just as beautiful

We refer to them as NoID, and most of my Phals are NoID. Most of the ones in places like IKEA and other 'Big Box Stores', even a lot of the ones in garden centers, will be NoID. I keep getting tempted by them in places like that, I just can't resit

I like to make up names for mine, just so they don't feel left out from those with official names.

This one is so pretty that I ran to Ikea last night hoping to find something comparable. No luck, all they had were purple and whitish pink. Pretty, but not pretty enough to take up some of my valuable orchid space. Thankfully, I found an awesome Mtssa Shelob 'Dark Star' at Trader Joe's instead. I couldn't exactly go home empty handed after that kind of let down!
