Unique looking phal - any ideas?

A fully peloric Phal looks like the one in this recent thread.

Yours is not fully peloric, but it has started to form some of the lip features on the pettals which is why it looks like it does.

What an absolutely beautiful find! Peloric AND ruffled! I'm making a special trip to HD today (100 mile round trip). I sure hope they shipped some up this way.

{EDIT - UPDATE}
HD had the sadest lot of phals I've ever seen there. About a dozen, blossoms dead and dying, it was sad. No peloric tho, I might have gotten it even though it would have been a very hard rescue.
Oh well, there is always next time.

Peloric flowers are basically mistakes in floral morphology, the petals take on the color and/or the shape of the lip. I love these oddities and I would have grabbed yours, it's gorgeous.

Here are a few examples of some peloric's with the last one being very extreme. I think there's more going on with this last one though than just peloric...looks like 2 buds were fused together in the development, perhaps?
