Some members here specialize in miniatures. Some have leaves smaller than your pinky nail. I know you have room for a few of those.

This is an odd coincidence. I just decided to give away my Ledebouria. I haven't even had it very long, but I got back home from college for the summer and decided I needed more room for orchids. I also want to increase the number of ferns, bromeliads, gesneriads, and maybe begonias in my collection. Something has to be sacrificed, since I filled up my parents' house (well, their definition of "filled" at least) and I never have been able to keep a sustained interest in succulents. Excluding the forest cacti, like Epiphyllums and Zygocactus, Hoyas, and Adenium (which I still don't have) I like succulents, but I just get bored with them quickly.

Oh well, my brother and his girlfriend just got a new house and they need more plants (ok, I THINK they need more plants), and they like succulents. So problem solved!

Good luck with your Ledebouria. It really is a beautiful plant and very easy to grow. And you should definitely look into mini orchids! Don't worry, you won't have to dump your Ledebouria. For me, it's just one of those plants that's expendable, like some people who don't like begonias or ferns consider them expendable. And then there's always artificial lighting to enlarge your growing area, which mini orchids are perfect for!

I love, love, love begonias. And I currently have two adenium (although only one of them is rare). I had a fabulous specimen that died a mysterious death last summer. It looked like it was getting over watered and I killed myself keeping even the smallest drop away from it. Near the end the little boy next door came over and told me he had been helping me by watering it every day.
C'est la vie... and it was such an impressive specimen

I can verify that they're tough. I got one years ago, and it can handle sun, shade, water, or drought. They do grow and bloom better with good light. Its blooms are tiny green and purple flowers.
