Hi!

I visited the orchid exhibition at Gothenburg Botanical Garden in Gothenburg, Sweden. I took several pictures. Before I upload them to my Photoblog I would like to ask you to help me identify them.

Hi Thort, to OB. First three are Phalenopsis hybrids. #4 looks to be a Cypripedium or some type of Paphiopedilum

Thanks bellini girl and dounoharm!

You're suggesting the first three are Phalenopsis hybrids. I've googled on Phalenopsis and you seems to be right.

The last one seems trickier. You suggest Phragmapedium, Cypripedium or Paphiopedilum. I googled one these but wasn't able to come to any conclusion.

It would be nice to know which family it belongs to.

Otherwise I have to show it without any name on my blog.

I could bet the last one is a phragmipedium, I think it looks like a phragmipedium sedenii.

Thanks Pk93 and Mastiff!

All of you here have been of good help to me.

Now, I've posted my orchids in my blog with the proper names.

The third Phal looks very much like my Phal. Sunset (see attached.)

I agree with Mastiff, the Phrag. is either Sedenii or Cardinale.

Nice blooms!

The first Phalenopsis is a close relative of Phal. Rousserole. No way to know it's exact ID, but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't have Rousserole as a parent.

I can't help with the ID, but I really like the first one. The purple color looks like pieces of a jig-saw puzzle. Very nice.
