I bought this today. Is it a Dendrobium? If not, can you tell me what it is, please?

The tag says it's a Cattleyea, but I can't read what one. I can't tell one way or the other as the plant is too far back. Do you think the tag was mislabeled? Perhaps if you take a pic of it closer up I could be more sure.

Vicki, I looked again, and the Eplc means Epilaeliocattleya (Cattleya x Epidendrum x Laelia).
Duh, I didn't even see the bottom tag until I looked again...what can I say, it's late. LOL

The small white tag reads "eplc hsinying orange china hua", so unless it's marked wrong it should be a Epilaeliocattleya (Cattleya x Epidendrum x Laelia)

Eplc. Hsinying Orange "China Hua"

Hi Chris!
When I started my thread, I thought the paper label was mislabeled...that it was not a catt., but that is was a Dendrobium (or something else that I wasn't familiar with). The reason I thought that is because of the 'canes'. They didn't look like the shorter, plump pseudobulbs that I'm familiar with. I looked on my abbreviations list, but couldn't find Eplc. I later searched and located another list apparently more detailed and/or current than mine, which had Eplc on it. I didn't understand until then that it was a catt, so it was my mistake. As for the tag, it reads: Eplc.HSINYING ORANGE 'CHINC HUA'

I'm sorry that the tag on the pic was not as easy to read as it should have been, but I flunked photography in high school (just kidding, of course.....there was no photography class offered in high school, as I'm sure you knew, but if there had been one, I would have indeed flunked it!

By the way, please don't forget about me when you inventory for divisions.
Thanks for your reply, Kiki...
Vicki

Eplc mostly takes on the vegetative characteristics of an Epidendrum. That's why there're canes. Occassionally you'll see one with a cane-like plant structure but a reduced pseudobulb-like bulge. The flowers will look more like Cattleyas though.
