Hi everyone,

I'd really appreciate it if someone could help identify this orchid.

The plant belongs to my boyfriend's mom and she told me that it is an orchid. However, ever since they've received it from a friend while it was in bloom, they haven't been able to get it to bloom again.

Pic 1: The location of the plant in the house. It is near a south-facing skylight.

Pic 2 & 3: The plant

Pic 4: The medium that it was in BEFORE it was repotted this Thurs. I assume it's been in this medium for a few years now.

Pic 5: The medium it is in now. It was repotted on Thursday, May 21

My questions:

a) What is it???

b) Is it repotted correctly?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
