Phal ID Help for a newbie
This is my first orchid, which I bought at the gift shop at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden last weekend. The tag says it's a phalaenopsis. Can anyone help me with what kind it is?
Thanks!

It's probably going to remain a NoID, I'm afraid. There are thousands and thousands of Phal hybrids, and a lot of them look virtually identical. Most likely you'll just have to enjoy the beauty of it.

As others have said there are so many Phal hybrids that they're almost imposible to identify unless you already have some clue.
We call these NoID and they are just as pretty, most of mine are NoID.
Was there a website or anything like that on the tag? Sometimes the growers website will show pictures of the orchids they sell with the full names. If this is the case and you can spot yours, you can be fairly sure you have found the correct name.

No website on the tag. It's ok, I can still enjoy my lovely orchid even if it's a NoID.

Yeah, one of my favorite phals (the one in my avatar just now) had no tag at all and I knew when I chose it that I had no chance of finding the name. But it's still a favourite

Something as lovely as that doesn't need a name, it's meant to be enjoyed. On the other hand, you can "name" it anything you like. I have several named for family members. LOL
