It is, without any doubt, an Encyclia. The reason no one has been able to ID it is because [I am 90% sure] that it is a hybrid. Some fantastic primary crosses continue to be made within this genus.
As far as culture: since we do not know the parents the usual suggestion would be to grow it under "Cattleya type conditions". Whatever that means!
If it was a new plant in my collection of Encyclias I would give it medium to bright light, A fast draining medium, hang the pot if possible, give it 50% ++ humidity, night temps above 55, days below 85 and lots of air movement. It probably does not need a winter rest other then less water and overall cooler average temps during the shorter days. Encyclias do well with constant low level fertilization. I have only killed a few species and hybrid Encyclias raised under this regime and most have flourished.
