Default Is this a Epidendrum

Hi I was wondering if anybody knows what this orchid is and it's name please. I have been told it is a Epidendrum but they wasn't sure. Thanks

The flowers don't seem quite epidendrumish to me. I haven't seen any encyclias with flowers exactly like that. I am sure someone here will know

Its an Encyclia of some sort; but I have a few questions:Is it a species?where is it from?

hhhmmm.... almost sure not Epidendrum... and also not very sure if Encyclia (more in the NO side!)

Is this a species? to be honest it looks to me more like a Dendrobium related plant, somethis like Epigeneium or similar.. but not very sure either...

where did you get it from?

Hi Thanks for all your replies, I got this off my mate who had two of these and bought a job lot of orchids with no names. All i know is they came from Thailand and don't know if they are spoecies or not but have not seen them before.

hehe, I was not that wrong... I mean, when I saw the plant, the first thing coming to my mind is that it looks like the plants from Chin Hua Orchids from Taiwan but I know several nurseries in Thailand use the same kind of potting

Thanks lambelkip i looked at the thread and is exactly like mine. Thanks to all who have helped is very much appreciated. I will do a search now to see how to look after this. Thank you all again
