Nursery Label Says Peggy Ruth Carpenter It's Not Like Mine Not Close Got from a friend who was Giving Orchids up for twin babys (not sure if that was a good Trade No dipers with Orchids) But I cant figure this out unless its a mutant he never had it bloom. Anybody got a clue
I thought Green but the center isn't as pronounced as the greens Ive seen But could be It's been open a week No change. Looking at Golden Gate and This one side by side I think its real close to it Thanks.
I might be Peggy Ruth Carpenter. Two bloomings ago mine did something wierd. One spike was the normal purple color, the other turned out white like yours, although it had a bit more purple on the lip.
The first pic is the white blooming spike, the second is from the normal spike.

I agree with Camille. When you cross 2 orchids the siblings do not have to be any closer than brothers and sisters. You only get closest when you clone a particular cultivar, even there spot mutations in the cloning process can make a big difference.
