Name for this Cym?

I don't know the name of it, but it is very pretty. I might have the reason for the lighter color in flowers, one of the sites I surfed looking for my next acquisition explained that the light being bright is needed until they actually start to open then you need a slightly less intense light to maintain the true color of the flower. They also said temp. can do the same thing, and can make some color look very different (eg some reds will look more purplish).

That's a very cool site, phearamedusa! I also bookmarked it. I knew that temperature and light had an impact on what the flowers looked like, but I had no idea it could be so drastic!

Hi folks.

I'd suggest you look at Cym madidum and its crosses. Madidum is a strongly scented Aussie native also known as the green orchid - I have one that's supposed to be green-flowering but there are a range of colours out there. Yours being smelly and green...

My (limited) understanding is that Cym madidum is often used in crosses to try and get nicely scented hybrids.

This looks like it is probably a cross of Cym. Dag and something else...

Thanks again for all your helps. I searched some green cyms they looked like same to me. I don't mind to have a noid orchid plant if it blooms beautifully......
