Default Anguloa clowesii?

Bought this tulip orchid about 2 weeks ago. Vendor said that it is an Anguloa clowesii but the color seems different. I'm leaning towards Anguloa ruckeri but I'm not really sure since this is the first time I bought chid on this genus.

Help is appreciated.

It stays like that until it withers. Flower last about 3 - 4 weeks and the fragrance reminds me of cinnamon with a hint of citrus and mint.

How big is the plant and spike? I was just looking up the Anguloa ruckeri and was getting conflicting size info.

As for the picture... yes, I'd agree from pictures I've seen, it looks more like ruckeri. The clowesii doesn't seem to have the red inside at all. But, your red looks a bit lighter in shade than the pictures I've seen of rukerii.

The leaves are pretty big, probably 60cm long and it's a deciduous plant. The flowers are withering now but below is the picture when it was on full bloom.

It's totally cool looking. I was looking at one online the other day and contemplating buying it.

I think that it's safe to conclude that your photo is not a "tipo" Anguloa clowesii. Yes, it could be Anguloa ruckeri. Some people consider ruckeri to be a distinct variety of clowesii!
