Default Orchid ID help

I ended up in a smith and hawking store today and found this orchid on the clearance rack, it seems like its in bad shape but hopefully it comes back to life.

I took it out of the pot when I got home and found most all roots where rotting. There was a clump of moss in the middle of the roots with bark around that. I removed every bit of moss I could and checked for bugs. Its back in the same pot but with miracle grow orchid mix with some expanded clay now.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

A. Sorry, I don't know what that is.
B. Your pics are amazing, what's up with the raccoon and the skunk? The baby hawk is beautiful. The baby foxes too. Is there another thread that introduced you and I missed it. What do you do are you a vet? Where in the US are you?

No the galleries are messing up. The animal pics belong to Orchidelirium. Hers are in her own album (showed them in the chat a few minutes ago), but they are showing up in Axle and Lily's gallery too!
Really strange

Judging from the clustering of the flower buds and the shape of the pseudobulb (and leaves), I believe it is an Oncidium. You'll need to wait for the flowers to open up to be able to further ID the plant. Good luck!

I killed an orchid a while back that looked almost identical to that. Still have the tag cause I want another one! Might be Ionocidium Popcorn 'Hauri' It has gorgeous little flowers that upon first opening have a slight purple tint that fades to a yellowish color. You should google image search Ionocidum. I just did and some great pics of it came up.

Thanks for the input Stephen and BigRed. I am wondering if those flowers will actually open after the damage its suffered. And if I should just cut the spikes and let it focus on growing new roots.
I can definitely see a resemblance of that Ionocidium Popcorn 'Hauri', nice looking plant for sure.
