Found this orchid in flower on my trip to Belize. Any ideas on what it is?

If I had to guess, I'd say a Maxilaria or a coelogyne.

Can't be a Coelogyne - they're Asian plants. It certainly appears to be a Maxillaria, but I'll have to do some searching to find which one.

Its neither!
Its Mormolyca ringens.
Among other places its pictured in color on p.110 of Native Orchids of Belize ,Mcleish et al.
Out of curiosity, what part of Belize was that photo taken? It looks like Pine ridge.
Take care
Spiro
