Help with a cattleya identification

My first guess would be C. Dupreana (warneri x warscewiczii), but it is impossible to know for sure without a tag.

I asked my wife how long we have had the plant and our guess is about 10 years. Found some additional information on the dates. We have had this plant no more than 5 years. Earliest picture I have is from 2006. It started in about a 6 inch pot. Whenever it gets too large for the pot my wife repots it in a larger one. We now have two of these from the original plant. One thing we have found is that is it clay pots only.

The winter routine is having it in a North window. It is the only one in my house with a window large enough for plants. I have a full spectrum sodium light on for 16 hours per day. Feeding is a very dilute 20-20-20 fertilizer every watering. The pot is in a liner and I make sure there is water in it. When the water evaporates/is taken up I rewater. Temperature in my house is set at 68 but that room is colder. I do not know how much.

In the summer I take all of my plants outside on a deck under a pear tree. I do not do anything with them the entire summer except to water/mist whenever I feel like it. Sometimes I fertilize using a Miraclegrow feeder and a blossom fertilizer. The rest of the time they are on their own. My Oncidiums bloom for me in the summer on the deck.

I think it looks a lot like Lc Morning glory they always bloom like that

Uhhhhh........Jerry (Leisurely), I actually have to disagree with the name of the flower in the pic you show. That's definitely not Bl. Morning Glory as that plant should have no spotting but rather has a red lip and petals that slowly turn to veiny, ie. has lines rather than spots. The plant you show looks more like a Bc Maikai that has been open for a week or so. The leaves are also thinner and more open, again very reminscent of Bc. Maikai.

Sorry, Im not trying to be rude or facetious, but I just had to mention that!!

I should also mention that I agree with Jerry (Leisurely) that the original flower that started this thread is not Bl. Morning Glory.

I definately have to agree with Steve on this one. My Bl. Maikai is in bloom now and has been since before Dec. 30th. Sent up 4 spikes, a prolificate bloomer. Here is the pic.

This is Lc Morning Glory H&R x self But now that I look at your first picture and My Morning Glory side by side , I see the difference The 2nd picture of it blooming and your description of how it grows sure looks the way Morning glory Grows and Grows and Grows. I have had this one 9 years and have divided it into 4 plants 3 times. This time I'm leting her grow no more dividing.

I also think Steves looks like Maikai Pure rookie look at a picture of C. Dupreana 'coerulea' subvar. 'Kodama' beside your plant and see it might be can't tell from picture.

Thanks for the suggestions! I am still trying to track it down but it may wind up being "anoid". It opened its first blossoms, 4 from one sheath, and there are numerous buds that I can see. But it looks like last year was better than this year will be. My wife, who is in charge of dividing plants, says that she will ahve to divide and repot them this year.
