Default Help with identifying a couple catts. Post 1 of 2

Well, I think I'm the luckiest person in the world...I've received 2 catts from an elderly lady who cannot take care of her orchid collection any longer - the best part is that both of them were in bloom when she gave them to me! However, neither have a tag or any form of identification. I know I shouldn't complain, but I like to know the names of my orchids!

This first one, I don't really understand - She has it planted in potting soil! I do everything by the book for my catts. and I can't get them to flower...hers is planted in potting soil and look at it!!

This one looks like an slc. Hsin Buu Lady 'Y.T.' that I got a couple years ago and haven't had luck with. It's not exactly the same as the pictures I have, though. Any ideas on which this is?
