Hope that helps, Eric
Eric, although I could not identify any auricles on the column, I was not too far off the mark when I suggested to Ron thta it looked like an Oncidium

Dear Mike,

I just wanted to say what a magnificent country you have. Everyone should start saving their pennies - and gearing up for the flight from hell (14 hours from Atlanta) - for the WOC scheduled for the Republic. People should also plan to extend their trips by several weeks to see the diverse natural beauty. I think my favorite memory - other than wonderful people - might be the lunancy of a young giraffe rying to hide behind a slender, leafless tree. Straight out of a Farside cartoon.

Eric

Thanks Eric. People registering for the conference should spend as little time on the highveld and head for the Cape or Durban (although I live an hour away from Durban in that order of preference). We certainly do have fantastic wildlife, birdlife and plantlfe. Maybe we will meet there
