PAPHIODEDILUM IDENTIFICATION
Default PAPHIODEDILUM IDENTIFICATION

I stopped by JEM orichids back in 2005? when they had been holding a "That was my last Hurricane - it's all for sale - sale" and picked up this little fellow. No tag and it took a long time for it to recover from the trama.

Anyone have an idea of what it might be? One clue might be that what you see is the second of two blooms on the same stem.

Paphiopedilum Paph. Stone Ground This is similar? There looks to be the influence of glaucophyllum so it may be a species or a hybrid with this??????

I think this could be a P. Pebblepath = Transvaal x henryanum. I don't see more than the one flower but this may be due to the stress the plant has been under.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Comparing all of the pictures, I too came to the original conclusion that henryanum is one of the parents, but beyond that supposition ......

P. Pebblepath = Transvaal x henryanum certainly is close and there were two blooms, but one had fallen when I finally got the camera out - spurred on by the one bloom dropping!

Thanks for the ideas!

Ok so I was out in left field...too much green in my pick. I like Roy's much better Transval = moquettianum 'Golden Crown' x rothschildianum 'Eagle')
(Beautiful Orchids and Orchid Suppies - Error Encountered, but then I found this pic of Transval - Transvaal 'USBG' which says it is chamberlainianum x rothschildianum...so I, for sure am not your best bet in town!
