Default Aussie Dendrobium needs name...badly

I had originally gotten this Orchid from The Orchid Zone more than 10 years ago. Since it only had a number and not a name, and since the Zone was not helpful seeing as that it was not there hybrid but someone from Australia, I gave the plant to a friend (a fellow Orchid Judge). He kept it as it is really nice regardless. Eventually he gave up orchid growing (and judging) for health reasons and gave me all his orchids. This bloomed at my place and is really very nice. The tag says W5391 (It could also be WS391). If anyone knows I would be greatful.

David, I've seen many similar clones and had some. I don't know the code but one of the Aussies in the forum might. I'll have a look at a few catalogs I have to see if I can get close. Exact may be nil if the code doesn't show.

Hi David,

That's so beautiful! I ordered an Aussie Den last year but it wasn't happy here

Take a look through this site, maybe you can find it. If not, try contacting Brian...maybe he can help you with this one. He's a really nice guy and always answers his emails (unless he's traveling for a show, he answers within a day or two)

Hello Susanne
I gather you mean Brian G. ??
If so say hello to him for me ( Bob. C ) - I've known him for many years - even before he started DUNO

Hi Bob

I don't know Brian personally but we did interact through emails when we were setting up his shipment to me from their visit at the Santa Barbara show last year.
He seemed like a very nice guy and was very helpful

Hi Susanne

The tag number could be a batch or flask no, perhaps one of our Aussie growers may be able to recognize it,although after 10yrs it would be a mircle.
