Can anyone help me I.D. this beauty, please?
It followed me home from Trader Joe's. It didn't have a name tag or species ID. I think it's a Cym. I'm not sure. But it smells SOOOO GOOD!!!
Yeah! As a newbie I'm finding that out. But I have figured out a way from keeping myself from going too crazy. I only buy orchids that have a fragrance. I would have to find it personally exceptional in beauty to buy one without a fragrance. God help me, I think I found one too! (Haven't bought it.... Yet...)
Can you do the "Blank Look of Benign Innocence"? If you grew up Catholic, you know what I'm talking about. If not, then think of it as a careful combination between 'cute puppy' and a very subtle 'who? me?' looks. Give that a try. Hope it helps.
Thanks Ross!
I only got through a small corner of your pics but you have an impressive collection!
The non-fragrant orchid that made my heart skip a beat was a mini/dwarf. White with tiny flecks of purple. My jaw kind of fell open when I realized that it strongly resembles a ring that I bought 20+ years ago.
(Sorry that it's a bit fuzzy.)
Or just slip it into the collection and hope there is no sudden question like "where'd that come from?"
This works for me...
My sweet husband dont know the difference as long as it doesent bloom, and i have been lucky to slip one and three into the collection with no questions asked...
