Hi all! I'm new here and glad I found it. Today, I picked up a GREAT orchid from Trader Joe's. It smells wonderful, but was one of few that didn't have a tag on it. There was also no other one like it (figures), so I need some help on it. I'm thinking it could be some species of oncidium, but the pseudobulb orchids are new to me.

I also picked up 2 "ground orchids" from Walmart for $8 the other day. I THINK they are Spathoglottis plicata, but the flowers are different from most of the pictures I've seen.

Thanks in advance!!

Looks like #1 is a Zygopetalum (or Zygo hybrid). #2 is definitly a Spathoglottis, maybe just a different variety. Nice Scores!

WOW. Zygo?? I've only seen them for about $40+, so I guess I got a deal on this. I'm definitely enjoying it, though... Thanks a lot!

No... that's definitely what it looks like now that I'm looking at pics. Good guess... I didn't even think of that because I've never actually seen one in person before.

The first one is definitely a Zygo - and yes, they normally have a very nice fragrance. Nice finds! Enjoy!!
