Hi Louis. Your new baby is not a phal. Looks to me like a terete vanda of some sort. Let's see what the experts say.

Hi Louis,
I'm not sure of this p[lant's name, but I know that it is not a Miniature Phal.
It is a Terete type Vanda. Maybe someone else will be able to identify the exact cultivar.

It is a Papilionanthe ( used to be called Vanda ). There is a white hybrid around but I cannot remember the first name Papilionanthe ? Popow

Thank you for all the help! I knew this is where I would find my answer. Now for the big question, can I mount this as all my plants are mounted? Or can I hang it open like my other Vandas?

Hi Louis
You could tie it to a stick, or even put it in a small basket with some course bark just to anchor it. These orchids are basically terrestrial & will climb up a tree Or use long grass to support themselves. We grow ours along a tressel
