Default Species for these three in my garden

Can anyone help me with the species names for these NOIDs growing in my garden? I bought them in a local market here in Papua New Guinea - they're all just called 'orchid' here!

Hope I've put the pictures in properly...

Thanks, Phil

I don't honestly know. I want to say the first pic might be an Eria but not at all sure.
The second kind of resembles Dendrobium alexandrae.
The third is gorgeous, but I don't know what that one is. Well, I really don't know any of them, but those are my guesses.

Default Not that I can offer any kind of help ....

but I have to say HOW LUCKY ARE YOU!!! that you can just walk out to your GARDEN and see these gorgeous things living there!!! I somehow think your address should read "paradise" ... because for me, that is certainly what it would be!!!

The third looks like a Diplocaulobium. I'm not particularly familiar with the genus so I couldn't narrow it down to species. Maybe Diplocaulobium arachnoideum or phalangeum at a very wild guess but to be honest I struggle to tell Diplocaulobiums apart. Might be worth having a look through the gallery or the forum on the Orchids PNG site to see if you can get an ID.

Hello PNG phil
The first is a Dendrobium sect.Latouria,
Second.Dendrobium sect spathulate ( how high was this one found ? ) as PNG has some High land spathulate Den,s.
Third as Andrew said is a Diplocaulobium sp.

Default Thanks!

Thanks so much for the help - this truly is a friendly and helpful forum. I would never have found diplocaulobium without your help. It definitely is, and now I'm trying to check the species against photos on the web.

I was wondering if the second photo was dendrobium gouldii from a picture in Pridgeon's encyclopedia - which would fit with Taipan's identification. We live at around 5100ft here, and I've seen quite a few of these about.

I couldn't get any results from the orchids PNG page - does anyone elsewhere have better luck?

Thanks again,

Phil

hello Phil
I think the second flower is Den.crispilinguum. Refer to
"Spathulata Orchids Papua New Guinea" put out by the Orc.Soc.of PNG.Den.gouldii is a lowland species whilst D.crispilinguum is from 1000 to 2000 mtr ASL
