no idea what I have here
As I reported before, I got only got serious about my orchids this past Spring when I repotted and divided just about every plant I had accumulated. Many had died previously (presumably rot) and I attempted to rescue what I could.
Quite a few orchids had lost their labels one way or another as they didn't seem important early on.
One orchid had a huge root system and I replanted it in a high 8" plastic pot to get them covered. The media is bark. Ok, so it recovered from the experience, looks healthy and is now blooming. I presume it is some kind of cattleya. I'm pretty sure an orchid can't be positively identyfied (or am I wrong?) from pictures but maybe I can at least get a guess from someone here?
I've had really great help here when I had partial labels to ID but here there is nothing. Any ideas?

It looks to be a Cattleyea with some Brassavola cross perhaps? Only a guess on my part.  |

My prediction would be Eplc. Don Herman 'Gold Rush', the exact clone. Try doing a google search for pictures. Pretty popular orchid in the big box stores. This is a cross between Epidendrum Laelia and Cattleya.

For some reason I couldn't log into the site with this new computer but it finally permitted access for me.
The manager of Odom's Orchids identyfied the plant instantly as I showed it to him at the Naples Orchid Society meeting. It seems a few of you concurred.
Now I have another mystery orchid which just opened up but I'll start another thread on that one and hope for the same great results.
