Brassavola and Brassia come from two different orchid genus.

Brassovola is a genus of orchids classified the Subtribe of Laeliinae and the Alliance of Cattleya.

Brassia is a genus of orchids classified in the Subtribe Oncidiinae and the Alliance of Oncidium.
