Miniature Dendrobium species

Sold to me as D. cruentum at a show, I have found images online that don't seem to match. Since there are no blooms, if someone could get me in the ballpark, I would appreciate it.

I think I see black hairs, which would be consistent with Den. cruentum. For size, just may be a young plant. When it blooms you'll know. That whole section of Dendrobiums has similar care (warm, humid, no rest).

Thanks Roberta. I was looking through the two books I have by Rebecca Northern. Neither touches on this particular species, but does cover the group. We shall see.

The cruentums I've seen are fairly large plants.

The images I found online show tall canes around 8 to 12 inches. That's what made me question the tag.

Even big plants start out small. So could be a seedling. In which case it may be awhile to blooming. Time will tell...
