Aloha..I believe these are dendrobium nobile, but not sure. Does anyone know if they are and do they have specific names? I'd like to make a tag for it so I can honor its correct identity. Mahalo!

Welcome!

The first one does look a lot like the species, but also well may be a hybrid. The second I would strongly suspect is a hybrid. Both certainly have lots of Den. nobile in the background. Hybrids are pretty impossible to identify definitively. Fortunately, they all have similar culture. And probably really enjoy the climate where you live. Yamamoto Orchid Nursery bred these beautifully in the Islands for many years

They do look like Nobile Dendrobium but getting correct names for them will be problematic as there are quite a few that look similar.
The most you could do is find similar looking Nobile and name your plants as

'Looks Like .......... ........'

Mahalo Roberta for taking the time to respond. I know my mom was gifted many of her orchids and from what I can recall, she never really called them by any specific names. She would tell me, "oh that one is a dendrobium..so pretty yeah" haha! I think I'll have to be satisfied with that..it's a dendrobium, maybe a nobile, but its oh so pretty!

Yes, I do believe that may be my best bet. Mahalo Diane for taking the time to respond. Like I told my dad the other day..I've become my mom! LOL She would spend hours and hours in her garden and it's become a passion for me too. At one point, she had over 300 orchid plants and over 500 anthurium plants plus all kinds of other plants around the yard. Everything she touched flourished. I hope to revivie whatever I can and make her proud.
