My bi-weekly find at my new favorite place. I'm guessing its an Aliceara. I think I have more NOIDS now than ones I know what they are. Still is a puzzle how a nursery can just throw plants out without identifying it. Saying it is an exotic orchid is kind of like buying an apple from the store where it says northern fruit. Oh well NOIDS need a good home also.
It resembles some that were formerly sold as Beallara: Brassia x Cochlioda x Miltonia x Odontoglossum. Since Odontoglossum and Cochlioda were mostly moved into Oncidium, that makes them now Aliceara = Brassia x Miltonia x Oncidium. But I suspect they'e still mostly sold as Beallara.
The older name was more useful for the gardener. Beallaras with their Odontoglossum and Cochlioda ancestry tend to prefer cooler temperatures than do most old-style Alicearas that lacked the species in those two groups.
