Welcome!

The photos of the flowers are not very clear. Just looking at the plant (no leaves, flowers coming from the tips of the bare pseudobulbs/canes), I suspect that it is some sort of Dendrobium. There are many of these, mostly coming from higher elevations in the Himalaya area and southeast Asia. Closer (and sharper) photos of the flowers might help. If it a species from the Americas, then I have no idea, again a closer look at the flowers would help. I can't tell from the photo if you have some leaves. If so, photos showing them better might also help. (It looks like you may have scale on them... something that you need to treat no matter what kind of orchid, they suck the juices - and life - out of plants.

Does the seller know anything about it?

Hey Roberta, thank you so much.
I will treat the scale asap, because I think the orchid looks bad. I didn't noticed that it was in bad state when I bought it, and the seller didn't know the name or id of the orchid. Just told me to water it once a week and to try to keep it moist.
I will take care and keep an eye on it to see if it can get better, thank you so much.
