NoID Mottled Leaf Phalaenopsis

Found these two guys at Trader Joe's. Unfortunately, there is no ID. It's slightly fragrant too although I think the fragrance may be stronger when it's freshly blooming. The flowers will most likely fall off in a week. Can anyone help ID-ing?

Maybe somebody has a similar plant with a tag, otherwise identifying hybrids is pretty impossible. But what a terriffic find! Gorgeous!

Yeah I'm super happy with this purchase. They were $6.99 each. I've always wanted to get a Phal. Schilleriana. Guess I'll settle for these cuties for now. I suspect they may even have her as an ancestor.

Oh wow, what a deal! I suspect that there may indeed be some schilleriana in there (mottled leaves and the soft pink color), Phal equestris is probably involved too, would lead to smaller but more plentiful flowers, closely spaced and maybe some branching.

Very nice Phals! I can't help with ID, but a couple years ago, I bought one that looks very much like that from my local Trader Joe's. It had no tag. Actually, I have never seen any orchids at my store with tags. The leaves on mine have the exact same mottling, the flowers look almost identical, except mine don't have that darker pink on the top half of the lip.

I, too, have always wanted a Phal. schilleriana, and may have one someday, but I'm almost certain my plant, and yours, too, have that in their family tree.

Mine is a prolific bloomer. I suspect yours will be, too!

There's a company in the Netherlands called Sion that produces a couple of mottled leaf fragrant phals under the trade names Scention and Odorion. They're widely available in some big box stores, and usually not labelled as such. Yours looks very much like an Odorion; you should easily find images online to compare.

Thanks so much for your help. I looked up their phals and they are nearly identical to mine. I'll adopt that as their name.

I have one that looks just like yours, with a wonderful fragrance and mottled leaves. Mine is called Perfume Factory 'Summerion'.

It's not a name registered with the RHS, rather it is a commercial name commonly used among online vendors.

Other fragrant Phals with mottled leaves are Diffusion, Odorion, Scention, Valkion, Aromio, and Dusty Belle.

I did some research on the Dutch company Sion as suggested by another reply in this thread. As I understand they are the ones producing the mini phals with mottled leaves and use non-registered names like Odorion and Summerion. I'll just adopt those names for my orchids just as a reference point. I wish they'd disclosed the ancestry of the plants though.
