Thank you MCD for the info on Sion and to LilyFlower6 for asking your question. I was just able to identify the Phal I got recently at Home Depot as Sion's Diffusion. If I can manage to do this I'm going to insert a couple photos of mine and one from Sion's website. Mine has the speckled grey/silver leaves, in the visible parts of the le in the photo they nearly cover the leaf. It's strongly fragrant, a scent similar to a rose.
OOps, It looks like the system won't let me upload photos directly from my computer - I'm going to have to put them on Flicker, I guess to have an URL.
I do have a schilleriana too - with the bars of speckles - more light gives more of the light silvery areas.

Well, , I just now learned form reading an Orchid Board post on tips for posting photos, that I must have made 5 posts before I can post photos. This current message is my 5th since joining, so we shall see.

Again, if it works, 2 photos of my Phal and then in a separate post I'll add the one from Sion's website
Most of my orchids have proper names, but sometimes in TJ's or HD one sings its siren song as I pass by, and what else can I do? I like to consider that I'm saving it from some well-meaning person who would buy it but then have no idea how to take care of it.

I'm afraid this is driving me crazy right now. I had added the URLS for 3 photos, but then got a message that my post was denied because there were too many URL. So I redid it with just 2 URLs - to photos in my Flickr account that I set as "Public". But no photos are showing up.
Also, it seems as thought if I pause for more that about 2 minutes to do something, Orchid Board bumps me out and I have to log in again.

I'm giving up, but again thank you. I'm delighted to have been able to identify my sweet formerly NoID Phal.
