Help identify this Dendrobium King Dragon variety
Default Help identify this Dendrobium King Dragon variety

Hi. I got 2 Dendrobium King Dragons a month ago. When I received them, it appears that the ID tags were mis-placed. Both have the same tag : Dendrobium King Dragon Pink Stripe. But their flowers look different.
I googled and found that one of them is actually a DK Pink Stripe, but the one on the photo, I can't find it's identity. Can anyone help, pls?

Sorry, but realistically, if the vendor cannot help you, nobody can give you a solid answer.

D. King Dragon is an old cross (registered in 1988) and cultivar names are not registered, and can be created by anyone, but are only recorded upon granting of an award. 'Pink Stripe' has apparently not been awarded, so 'Pink Stripe' may have been applied by anyone in possession of the plant or part of it, before you.

Plus there's the issue that many cultivars look similar and your individual culture can affect flower appearance, so any cultivar ID would be questionable, at best.

Thank you for explaining this. I am new to caring for orchids and I thought at first that all these variations should have names listed somewhere. Appreciate it!
