Hi Roberta,
I love it also, the flowers are so beautiful, and the plant is so airy and elegant. Unfortunately, my flowers do not have any fragrance. I thought it was a small plant, probably I was growing it too dry.
Glad to hear about your experience with it!
By the way, my Barkeria scandens does not grow very well, I have it mounted in a sunny location of the greenhouse, and may be too hot and dry, even though I water it every day . How do you grow yours?
Best,
Pedro.

Bark scandens? Outside (morning sun, then dappled sun or bright shade the rest of the day) So it does experience cool winters. It's bare most of the time, looks like a little stick, but grows and blooms rather well. It is still a small plant, but the color is outstanding. It is on a bare mount (no moss) so it gets quite dry, does get watered every day. like the rest of the mounted plans. I am excited about Bark. melanocaulon... one morning a month or maybe 2 ago, I found the tip of the spike broken off (maybe by a bird) and so I thought that this year's blooming was lost. But I just noticed, that a branch developed on the spike where it was broken, buds!! (Another cool grower)

It sounds similar to mine. Well I guess I need a bit of patience. It's still a tiny plant.
Thanks!
