Default Remind what this yellow flower is.

this was a nice bloomer long gone n frozen last year. Can you tell me what you think it is ? if I see the right name I will know it and thanks in advance. I would like to get another one of these. its a larger skinny leafed cattleya brassavola hybrid I think. Just cant remember what . I dont even remember where I got it.

its one of the Prosthechea mariae hybrids. bcv Key lime stars, c. siam jade are examples and some clones look similar to this.

heh I found it yes indeed was a wonderful flower and smelled great too. had that night scent brassavola going. It is for future reference..

i found my post from 2017 and I am mistaken about the foliage , it was an ugly plant ..with 14 flowers!!!

from one of carmelas grab bags I won at a meeting.

it was the best of the ugly ones.

This plant is super fragrant (I won one off a raffle table), and unusual in that it is a Brassavola perrini hybrid. That is where it gets the flower count (up to 15 flowers on each inflorescence).

My main plant is in bud right now, which reminds me, it needs staking (with 12-15 flowers, the weight of the inflorescence often causes the PB to bend or even break).

it was a fun plant to see bloom and yes the fragrance will fill the whole greenhouse. I use to take mine in at night when blooming, natural room freshener .
