It's not an orchid. It's some kind of bulbous plant. I can't really tell because they're too small, but it might be a plant that has had a lot of different names: Pregnant onion, Ornithogallum caudatum, Ornithogallum longibracteatum, Albuca bracteata.

By the way, what's an op shop?

Op (opportunity) shops, usually run by charities are for pre loved items donated by the public.
These are sold at greatly reduced prices. This allows the purchaser to get something at a reduced price and the money raised by the charity is used in other charitable ways.

I volunteered for a local hospital and they had several op shops run by volunteers. Sometimes Social services would direct a needy person to the organization and they would be given vouchers to enable them to access clothing from the shop and /or petrol vouchers.

Always by used and always donate!

I am a huge proponent of this. It is true recycling!

I know WW is on board too as we have discussed it at length.

I have never seen a plant (live) at one before though. That’s awesome

In my town there is a second hand store for plants, which they call a "plant shelter". You can bring in unwanted plants, the volunteers nurse them back to health if it's needed and then adopt them out to new homes. They also organise cutting and seed swaps a couple times a year.
