Default some type of odontoglossum?

ANyone have an idea as to the variety of this? I know that's rather nebulous, but i am just looking for some varieties to google and see if i come up with something close. Thanks!

Welcome to the Orchid Board!

It is probably an intergeneric hybrid in the Oncidium alliance involving genus Ada, from which it gets the large bracts around the flowers and the bright yellow/orange coloration. I'm not familiar with species in genus Ada, so it might be a species rather than a hybrid. Where did you get it?

Odontoglossum was formerly a genus in the Oncidium alliance, but botanists have decided Odontoglossum should be included in Oncidium.

I agree that it is a hybrid, Ada (Brassia) aurantiaca is likely in its ancestry.

Yes, those long, dark green leaves look like a Odont. / Brassia

ok thanks. kinda what i thought but i had hoped for a variety name so maybe i would recognize one. I forget where i got it (FL likely) but my daughter was watching them and the tag disappeared.

Look up Brassada orange delight

Usual caveat, once a noid always a noid etc.
