you must know roughly what it could be, or did you never know the growing conditions it likes when you first got it?
If I lost the tags to my vanda's I could still work out through process of elimination which one is which.
To me this one should stand out as it has vanda type roots but I will rule out all rhynchostylis because their leaves are more bow shaped. It looks a lot like an Aerides like the odorata for example because of the upright leaves which I suspect have a bit of a boxed end, vanda's have pointier ends
