Hello Everyone. Is it possible to get an ID on this orchid? Found it on top of a garbage can, and once adjusted to its new location, it is thriving. Fragrant at night and blooms quite often.

Welcome to the Orchid Board!

Brassocattleya (abbreviated Bc.) Yellow Bird is not always fragrant. You might have that, or another hybrid involving Brassavola nodosa in the background.

I have three that resemble that. It looks a little orange to be Yellow Bird. It could be Golden Peacock, or one of many others in that Bc family. But, it should bloom multiple times a year. Nice save!

If it was on top of a garbage can, there was probably a reason. Check foliage for odd markings, and flower for any deformities.

Suggest you keep the plant separate from your other orchids, till you are sure that it is clean (ie. not infected with virus).

Looks to be a Bl. Richard Mueller type cattleya or a hybrid of it.
