Default ID on this Jewel Orchid?

I Googled and I think maybe a Ludisia discolor var. nigricans or Ludisia discolor var. nigricans 'Ambrosia' ( unless that's the same thing ).
I assume it's something like that because the one strip down the middle of the leaf.



I found it at a garden center and there wasn't any id on it . Any ideal what it maybe / is?

Also . Any idea why the tips are red?

Nice one! It sure looks like Ludisia discolor. I don't think var. nigricans is a formally accepted variety, though.

Not too sure about the red tips – maybe inadequate water and/or too much light...?

Interesting.
I'm not convinced it's a discolor. The flowers are correct but the top side of the foliage is not striped like discolor.
A pic of a leaf on mine below (yes- it's dark outside.)

Definitely Ludisia discolor, just the dark form (sometimes referred to as var. nigrescens or var. nigricans, though neither seems to be a formal name).
