New Oncidiums. NoIDs, or do they have names?
I live in NW Idaho, and I was surprised when I saw an Oncidium at my local Safeway. I picked it up because it was pretty (of course). Then I go a bit South to visit my parents and find another Oncidium at the local Albertsons. It was sitting right in front of the door, and since we just had our first snow and it's very cold outside, it has lost two of it's flowers. The others seem fine (minus 1 being a bit dry looking). These may be very common but I'm new to orchids.
The first one with the many flowers has deep red flowers, and that red leads onto the lip before shifting to a yellow color. It has 4 pseudobulbs and 3 flower spikes developing (it seems the last pseudobulb produced 2 new growths).
The second one also has 3 flower spikes developing from 2 new pseudobulbs, but the flowers are larger and have a pale purple/green color while the lip is a vibrant purple.
