Can it be coelogyne flaccida ?
Default Can it be coelogyne flaccida ?

This orchid in the first photo belongs to my neighbour, he has had the plant for several years but does not remember what it is.
I tried to identify it with google lens and among the results the most similar seems to be coelogyne flaccida.
Could it be?
The second photo is a plant in my garden, I am sure it is an orchid because at the base of the leaves I can see a pseudobulb.
It has bloomed recently but I was travelling at the time.
I find the leaves very attractive and I hope it is possible to identify it through them.
Thanks Nicola

For the first, is it staked? If not I would doubt Coel. flaccida, which has pendant, floppy (flaccid) inflorescences.
The one with the mottled leaves... could it be a Psychopsis, perhaps? If it is, sad that the spike got broken since they can rebloom many times.

Thanks Roberta, the flower is not staked but the spike is very short.
I will try to post more photos when I visit my neighbour again.
I hope you are right about the second plant I find the flower very attractive.

I am not sure about the Coelogyne, but the second one is an Oeceoclades, almost certainly O. maculata.
