Paphiopedilum vietnamense or not?

Hi everyone

I bought this Paphiopedilum vietnamense on ebay but I find there is something different compare with the Paphiopedilum vietnamense pics on wensite.The leaves on website are glossy and more wider,mine is narrow and the leaves are matte.Anyone can help to find if this is Paphiopedilum vietnamense or not?Thank you.

More than likely: "uncertainty" until it flowers. The leaves of parvisepalums (in my opinion... I am no expert) are usually not good indicators for true identification.

If you purchased from a reputable seller, hope for the best.

My couple of vietnamense plants grow under a balcony, with no intense sunlight getting onto them ------ and their leaves are much darker in green ----- with some gloss. The leaves of mine are definitely not matte in appearance.

I got mine on ebay too - from a reputable seller ----- somebody that is known in the orchid and paph/phrag community.

Probably the best bet is to contact the seller and chat to them about your observation, and then see what they have to say about it.

At the moment, hard to say whether it is a vietnamense or not.
