Hello,

Bought these 2 orchids in supermarket, labeled "orchid in sleeve" only. Im quite new to orchids, hence the problem with ID. Help much appreciated

Hi and welcome. It looks like the first one is a miltoniopsis and the second one is a miltassia (or maybe brassidium). Others can hopefully chime in with more specifics as I am not that familiar with this genus.

They are lovely though!

Yes I would say the same.
Check out pictures of Nelly Isler types of the Miltoniopsis type plant.
The Brassia type one reminds me of the Shelob range.

Care for both is similar. They are intergeneric hybrids in the Oncidium tribe of orchids. There are a great many different hybrids.

I would almost go as far to say that this is the Nelly Isler itself. It looks extremely like the clone Swiss Beauty. Even so, it still counts as a noid. What a great find though!

That said, I know they also recently came out with a slightly different hybrid recently also. I can’t remember the name of that one though. I think it may have been called Francine roseglow.

The second one looks close to Miltassa Shelob.
