Although it is similar to a lot of Cyrtochilum the lip is much more like that of an Oncidium. note that it is fairly thin and has distinct lobes whereas most Cyrtochilums have a thick lip that has more indistinct lobes and is usually curled back (hence the name).

IOSPE does give Cyrtochilum anthocrene as a synonym. So I suspect that the line between the genera is fuzzy (like a lot of the "splits" that are now "lumped)
