Usually, when they don't bloom, it's because of not enough light. But there are other factos, obviously.

It looks like some kind of Cattleya type. It looks like you’ve got good new root growth, but the plant isn’t keeping roots alive long term.

What are your temperatures and watering regime like?

For my outdoor Cattleya types, I either have them in rock or coarse bark mixes hanging in wood Vanda baskets lined with shade cloth to keep substrate in. Inside, I have them in clay pots with coarse bark.

I like the clay because it’s heavy and breaths. Maybe try repotting yours into in unglazed pot (maybe even one with the holes in the side made for orchids) or a hanging basket? The way the roots aren’t going into the substrate and the in substrate roots look dead would indicate to me that there’s something it’s not liking. Taking measures to improve aeration in the root zone has worked for me in this situation.

The leaf shape reminds me of a Psychopsis, but there are no bulbs.

I think the first step to helpng you get it to bloom again is knowing what it is. Do you know? If not, was it in bloom when you got it and do you either have a photo or can describe the flowers?

Looks like Trichocentrum (like T. lanceanum) to me. Lot of light, warm and humidity. And air movements to avoid rotting.

If you only have the lava one still alive, then this one is the one that caused 'least' grief, right?

Good choice with the lava rock path.

Choose maybe average 10 to 15 mm sized lava rock. Use a plastic pot that has lots of big holes at the bottom of the pot. Put lots of holes in, and big ones .... but not so big where the lava rock pieces can fall out through the holes.

If the area that you're growing the orchid has gentle breeze all or most of the time, then keep it there. The main thing is to not let the orchid get too cold (leaves, stem and roots).

Pot your orchid into the pot, and fill it up with the lava rock. Fill it up to below the base of the stem.

Grow your orchid in a place with medium light level, with temperature that doesn't get too cold (ie. doesn't get below say 13 degree C .... preferably keep temperatures above 15 degree C. Have gental moving air-flow. You can water the orchid as much as you want when the lava rock are big enough in size - such as between 10 to 15 mm diameter pieces.

Some orchids just need to grow big enough in order to bloom. The leaves are getting big for your orchid, so just let it keep growing.

The marbles media may be workable, but it probably won't benefit the orchid that much, as the marbles don't retain any (or much) water when you water. So the plant could get dehydrated easily.

Also - do you ever apply weak fertiliser and weak supplements? Supplements can help for sure.

Looks like an oncidium. Maybe lanceanum. Needs warmth and sunlight and watering.

I agree based on the new growth in the foreground. One of mine had stalled growth, recently repotted into bark/basket and it took off. I have found that they climb and basket culture of some sort works well. Mine are in medium bark but, might do well in moss. I grow them under high light and keep them well watered. It should bloom from that new growth.
