need help identifying this orchid

Hi- I am a long-time reader of orchid board, but I finally decided to register so that I can ask questions and learn more about the many orchids I have. So here goes- I was watering my orchids this morning and saw a very interesting beginning of a flower spike- its' purple! It is one of my many unidentified orchids. Any guesses would be appreciated. I'm happy to add a photo if I can figure out how to do that!
