More seriously though, I really have no idea what the current accepted name is for this species. It seems confusing from what I read online.
I hope Frank will be happy with his new name and decide to produce lots of blooms!
That’s why I asked. It seems like aphyllum is back in vogue and the preferred one.

Edited to add... Perhaps off-topic, and perhaps not at this point. I had a crazy uncle (no, really certifiable) named Frank. Had several plants I was gifted from his funeral like 30 years ago. They're all named Frank: Frank Senior, Frank Junior, Frankly, and Frankfurter. God rest his soul... he was one of my favorite uncles as a kid. Always entertaining.

WaterWitchin- i love that....i have a custom of also naming plants after their previous owners and the lengths i go to are often hilarious and inane.
Oddly enough i also had an Uncle Frank ( Polish so it was Franu(SP?)) and he was not mentally well either but as a kid that made him a lot of fun to me because we were equals and he was a ton of fun.
